This is a title in the publisher's Vintage Contemporaries series. A novel set in 1967 in Wyoming. The main character is an Air force sergeant who was once decorated for heroism in Vietnam. He has been arrested for a senseless petty crime and sent to a remote prison in Wyoming. His wife and especially seventeen-year-old son must deal with the results of the man's crime while the political splintering of the country takes place in the background.
